Historical Event on 9/28/1827
A few mountain battery trains flourished and kept the Indian component alive as part of the Royal artillery. Recently, it has been established that 8 Company Bombay Artillery survived axing and is now 5 (Bombay) Mountain Battery. This day is now celebrated as the Raising Day of the Regiment of Artillery.

11/17/1932 | The Third Round Table Conference began in London. It was not attended by the Congress as the real Indian participation in the making of the constitution was negligible. Since Gandhi was in prison because of his civil disobedience movement he could not attend it either. This conference ended on 24th November 1932 without achieving anything. |
5/7/1993 | Jankiraman panel's final report finds that an additional aggregate of Rs. 12,85,549 crore was transacted in banks without any documentation; it indicts 12 more banks for involving in the scam. |
